Marvel’s Ghost Rider Summons Heated Rivalry Star for Mystery Role

Connor Storrie, the breakout star of 2025’s hockey romance series Heated Rivalry, is in talks to join Marvel’s upcoming Ghost Rider film. According to The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline, Storrie would star opposite Ryan Gosling in the project, which is being directed by Shawn Levy.

Storrie’s potential casting marks a significant leap for the actor, who was largely unknown before his role as Ilya Rozanov in Heated Rivalry, an adaptation of Rachel Reid’s 2019 novel. His co-star Hudson Williams, who played Shane Hollander opposite Storrie, also saw his profile rise significantly following the show’s critical and commercial success.

The casting represents Marvel’s confidence in placing Storrie alongside an established star like Gosling in a major studio production. With Shawn Levy directing, the studio appears to be investing substantial resources into this adaptation of the Ghost Rider character for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The pairing of proven director, A-list actor, and rising talent suggests the film is a priority project for Marvel.
