Phantom Blade Zero Looks Like a Hit Before It’s Even Come Out, With an Estimated 1 Million Prelaunch Copies Sold
Chinese action game Phantom Blade Zero has exceeded one million prelaunch copies sold before its official release, according to market analysis estimates. The wuxia action title from developer S-Game demonstrates strong momentum across multiple regions.
Industry analyst Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics estimates 850,000 prelaunch copies on Western platforms, with approximately three-quarters from Steam and the remainder from PlayStation 5. Sales on Tencent’s WeGame storefront in China push the total above 1 million copies.
Geographically, the game shows particular strength in Asian markets, with nearly two-thirds of total prelaunch sales coming from China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. This regional distribution reflects both the game’s wuxia cultural positioning and its developer’s home market advantage. The substantial prelaunch performance indicates Phantom Blade Zero is positioned for commercial success at launch.
