Witchbrook Is Stardew Valley Meets Kiki’s Delivery Service, And It Finally Has A Release Date
Witchbrook, the long-awaited magical life-sim that developer Chucklefish first revealed in 2018, has finally received an official release date: January 28, 2027. The game will launch across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, with a confirmed spot on Xbox Game Pass.
The announcement came during Nintendo’s October Indie World Showcase, following multiple delays. Originally planned for 2025, the game was pushed to 2026, and now to 2027. The developers acknowledge the wait, stating they have “poured detail and care into every pixel, to create a truly handcrafted experience.”
Witchbrook is a cozy life-sim inspired by games like Stardew Valley and the anime film Kiki’s Delivery Service. The title features gorgeous isometric pixel aesthetics and multiple interconnected gameplay systems. Players will attend Witchbrook College and interact with residents of the quaint town of Mossport.
With the release just three months away, the game’s arrival marks the end of an eight-year wait for fans of the cozy gaming genre.
