Onimusha, Resident Evil, Pragmata, and Monster Hunter franchises boost Capcom H1 results

Capcom reported strong financial results for the first half of fiscal year 2026 (six months ended September 30), with its Digital Contents segment, which encompasses all gaming revenue, delivering exceptional growth across the board. The gaming division achieved net sales of ¥85.1 billion ($538.4 million), representing a 70.8% year-on-year increase, while operating profit surged 66.7% to ¥52.3 billion ($330.9 million).

The publisher’s consolidated ordinary profit rose 67.5% to ¥61.2 billion ($387.2 million), with games accounting for the substantial majority of gains. Total unit sales reached 36.86 million units, nearly doubling from 23.85 million units sold during the same six-month period in the previous fiscal year.

The strong performance was driven by several cornerstone franchises, including Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Onimusha, and Pragmata. The results highlight the continued strength of Capcom’s first-party portfolio and underscore sustained consumer demand for its established gaming properties. The growth reflects both the commercial success of recent releases and ongoing monetization of the company’s intellectual property portfolio.
