Shopify Rebellion Secures Two World Champions for Rocket League Roster
Shopify Rebellion has announced its new Rocket League roster, signing two-thirds of the 2025 World Championship-winning NRG squad. The organization acquired Massimo “Atomic” Franceschi and Daniel “Daniel” Piecenski, along with coach Matthew “Satthew” Ackermann, keeping together the core of one of North America’s most successful esports teams.
The complete roster pairs the championship-winning NRG duo with Jason “Firstkiller” Corral. Throughout 2026, the team has demonstrated regional dominance, claiming three NA Open event victories. However, their international performance has been less impressive, suggesting that regional strength has not yet fully translated to the global competitive stage.
The signings represent Shopify Rebellion’s confidence in proven championship-caliber talent. By keeping the championship core intact and adding experienced roster management, the organization positions itself as a major contender for future Rocket League championships, continuing the competitive legacy established by NRG’s 2025 World Championship victory.
