New Assassin’s Creed Game Is Out Now, If You Don’t Mind Being Board
“Assassin’s Creed: Animus,” a new board game adaptation of the video game franchise, has launched as a competitive adventure game for one to four players. The tabletop game features protagonists from across the Assassin’s Creed series, with the standard edition offering four iconic characters—Eivor, Ezio, Altaïr, and Connor—across distinct historical eras. A Collector’s Edition expands the experience to include ten different eras and sixteen playable characters, adding fan-favorite characters like Edward Kenway, Jacob and Evie Frye, and Kassandra.
Gameplay involves players working to complete objectives throughout the game’s various historical settings, taking on assassination missions as they navigate the Animus. The game supports solo play or competitive multiplayer sessions, allowing up to four players to engage with the IP in a new tabletop format.
This board game release represents Ubisoft’s continued expansion of the Assassin’s Creed franchise beyond video games, bringing the series’ core themes of historical exploration and stealth gameplay into the analog gaming space.
