For Fun Tyler at ALGS Split 2: “We want to prove to people that we can win, that we can do it under pressure”
For Fun Esports made an impressive opening statement at the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs Group Stages, capturing victories in their first two matches before finishing second in the third contest. In their A vs B series, the team’s second-place finish came down to fewer eliminations, as they were narrowly edged out by Alliance. However, the team struggled to maintain that momentum in their subsequent B vs D matches.
Prior to competing on Day 2, Tyler Wood of For Fun Esports reflected on the team’s preparation and mental approach heading into the tournament. He noted that their bootcamp work helped them address some pre-LAN mistakes and refine their overall strategy. Tyler emphasized the importance of proving their capability under tournament pressure, highlighting the critical role of maintaining team morale and preventing tilt among his teammates as the competition continued. The team’s ability to bounce back from their mid-tournament struggles would likely prove decisive in their overall Group Stage placement.
