The 2026 Golden Joystick Awards nominees have been announced, marking another year for one of gaming’s most prestigious annual ceremonies. Held annually in London, the event celebrates excellence across the video game industry, with this year’s edition featuring over two dozen award categories.
The voting process combines public participation with expert curation. General audiences had the opportunity to vote on 22 categories through October 23, allowing fans worldwide to directly influence the awards. Voting for the Ultimate Game of the Year award extended slightly longer, concluding on October 30. Additionally, three awards—Streamers’ Choice, Breakthrough, and Critics’ Choice—will be determined by a dedicated panel of judges rather than public vote, with these winners revealed during the main event.
