Here’s What The Metro Redux Next-Gen Upgrades Look Like On Xbox Series X|S
Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux have received free next-generation upgrades on Xbox Series X|S, available now for players who already own the games. The updates unlock the full potential of Xbox’s newer hardware, offering players a choice between visual fidelity and frame rate: a 4K/60 FPS mode with enhanced graphics, or a 120 FPS mode at standard resolution for smoother gameplay. Both modes include TSR Upscaling and Anti-Aliasing technology to improve visual sharpness and overall image quality.
The upgrades also add Xbox Play Anywhere support, allowing players to access the games across both Xbox consoles and PC platforms. The timing positions the Redux remasters as an ideal way for players to catch up with the Metro storyline ahead of the upcoming Metro: 2039. These updates demonstrate Microsoft and developers’ continued support for existing titles on current-generation hardware, giving players fresh reasons to revisit the acclaimed post-apocalyptic shooter series with significantly improved technical performance.
