New game digest: Monster Hunter, Saints Row, No Man’s Sky, Digimon, Darkest Dungeon, Cut The Rope, more

TiMi Studio Group, owned by Tencent, launched Monster Hunter Outlanders on iOS and Android on October 29, nearly two years after the game was announced. The free-to-play survival hunting action game is developed under license from Capcom, bringing the monster hunting franchise to mobile platforms. A mainland China version is planned for 2027 or later.

Simultaneously, Feral Interactive released Saints Row: The Third Remastered on iOS and Android, continuing the trend of established console titles being adapted for mobile audiences.

These releases reflect the growing emphasis on bringing major franchises and established gaming experiences to mobile platforms. Monster Hunter Outlanders represents a significant investment in expanding the franchise’s mobile presence as a free-to-play title, while Saints Row: The Third Remastered’s port demonstrates how successful remasters can reach broader audiences across different devices. Both titles target the expanding market of players seeking substantial, feature-rich gaming experiences on smartphones and tablets.
