Splendid Junji Ito-inspired RPG World of Horror is now 20% more horrible, thanks to a free PC update with extra gods, locations, and wounds

World of Horror, the Junji Ito-inspired apocalypse RPG, has received a substantial free update called “As Below So Above.” The update introduces two new Old Godly invasions for players to identify and thwart. One of these cosmic invasions features four cults simultaneously summoning their favorite abominations, creating complex multi-faction scenarios for players to navigate.

The update significantly expands the game’s content library with additional enemies, mysteries, characters, items, spells, curses, and injuries. These new elements are designed to increase gameplay variety and replayability, offering fresh strategic combinations and challenge scenarios for both new and returning players.

Released free on PC, the “As Below So Above” update represents continued developer investment in the title. The addition of new godly invasions and expanded cosmological threats deepens the game’s Lovecraftian horror experience, maintaining alignment with its Junji Ito-inspired aesthetic of existential dread and cosmic horror.
