Skip the Halloween party: Xbox just made WUCHANG and Dead by Daylight free to play this weekend
Xbox is offering a selection of games for free through its Free Play Days feature during the Halloween weekend. The lineup includes WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, Dead by Daylight, Darkwood, Spirttea, and Everspace 2, with several titles themed around the spooky season.
Most games will be available from October 29 to November 1, 2026, for players with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential memberships. Dead by Daylight receives special treatment with an extended window beginning October 28, and is notably available to all Xbox players without requiring a Game Pass subscription, making it accessible to the broader Xbox community.
Spirttea and Everspace 2 are available on both console and PC, while the other titles are console-focused. This free play weekend demonstrates Xbox’s strategy to showcase diverse games and provide subscribers access to premium content at no additional cost, leveraging the Halloween theme to highlight atmospheric and horror-themed experiences.
