Silent Hill: Townfall adds new Hard difficulty in latest update
Konami has released patch 1.6.0 for Silent Hill: Townfall, introducing a new Hard difficulty setting alongside a comprehensive rebalancing of the game’s existing difficulty options. The publisher describes these changes as creating “a smoother difficulty curve for players to choose from.”
The patch implements several meaningful adjustments to gameplay mechanics across the board. Resources have been rebalanced in certain sections of the game, while enemy hearing mechanics scale progressively—becoming increasingly sharper as players select higher difficulty levels. A quality-of-life improvement allows players to see their position on the map across all difficulty modes, aiding navigation. However, the reduction to the main enemy’s attack severity is now limited to Story Mode only, making harder difficulties notably more challenging for players seeking a greater test of combat skill.
The update is now available on PS5, Steam, and Epic Games Store, according to patch notes published by Konami.
