Andy Weir’s New Time-Travel Sci-fi Thriller Officially Arrives Nov. 5

Andy Weir, the bestselling author behind the global phenomenon The Martian and the blockbuster Project Hail Mary, is venturing into audio drama as executive producer of a new time-travel sci-fi thriller. Launching exclusively on Audible on November 5, Exoplanet is written by Benjamin Percy, known for novels including The Ninth Metal and Red Moon. The full-cast immersive audio production features an impressive ensemble including Oscar-nominated actor Anthony Mackie, Tony Award winner Ariana DeBose, and acclaimed performer John Leguizamo.

The story centers on a starship crew thrust into chaos when their vessel is torn apart by a quantum anomaly. The crew members survive the disaster but become scattered across the same planet—separated not by distance, but by time itself. Each crew member finds themselves stranded in different temporal periods, forcing them to devise ingenious ways to communicate and coordinate across the centuries. Their struggle to reunite and escape is complicated by a powerful alien intelligence determined to capture and exploit human technology for its own mysterious purposes. Weir’s executive producer role brings his proven formula of rigorous science fiction combined with high-stakes survival drama to the audio storytelling medium.
