New Fortnite Item Makes Everything on the Item Shop Completely Free
Fortnite’s Chapter 7 mini season, “Treasure Hunters,” introduces a pirate-themed update featuring a crossover with the anime One Piece. Players can acquire Straw Hat Pirates skins and other cosmetics, though many Item Shop purchases typically require V-Bucks, the game’s premium currency.
The standout feature of this season is the Pirate Shop Access Token, a game item that unlocks the entire Item Shop for free for a 14-day period. During this window, any cosmetic normally sold for V-Bucks—including outfits, pickaxes, back bling, sidekicks, and other cosmetics—can be claimed at no cost and kept permanently. The item operates on a squad basis, meaning all teammates receive the same benefit when one player obtains it.
Players can acquire the Pirate Shop Access Token through the standard in-game loot system by opening treasure chests, which are the pirate-themed variant of regular chests introduced for the season. The challenge lies not in the acquisition method but in the rarity of obtaining the token, making it a difficult but legitimate reward.
