Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition launches 12th November and a demo is out tomorrow

Nintendo has announced that Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will launch on November 12th, 2026. The game introduces a new gameplay mode called Dandori Academy, a timed exam mode that challenges players to complete objectives within time limits. One featured exam is Gargantuan Garden, where players must collect gold nuggets before time runs out.

A demo is now available on the Nintendo eShop as of November 2nd, with the notable feature that any progress made in the demo will carry over to the full game if purchased, allowing players to test the experience risk-free.

The Switch 2 Edition includes enhanced functionality not present in the original Switch version, including voice command support for Oatchi, the game’s dog companion. This new feature takes advantage of the Switch 2’s improved hardware capabilities.

Nintendo is hosting a special Treehouse broadcast to showcase Pikmin 4 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy, coinciding with Pikmin Day celebrations. The broadcast will air on YouTube, providing fans with a detailed preview of the game ahead of its November 12th launch.
