Xbox Suddenly Has Two Vice City Games Releasing In Mid-November
Vice: Magic City Mayhem is set to launch on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on November 18, 2026, positioning itself strategically one day ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6’s November 19 release. Despite sharing the Vice City setting and visual aesthetic with Rockstar Games’ iconic franchise, Vice: Magic City Mayhem takes a distinctly different gameplay approach, drawing heavy inspiration from The Legend of Zelda series rather than traditional GTA-style open-world crime gameplay.
The timing creates an interesting market dynamic for Xbox, which will have two Vice City-themed games available within a 24-hour window. The game adopts Rockstar’s distinctive art style for its setting but repositions the gameplay mechanics significantly away from the action-adventure template that GTA fans expect. This strategic scheduling allows players access to diverse Vice City experiences simultaneously—from the Zelda-influenced gameplay of Mayhem to the open-world crime simulation of GTA 6, offering different options based on player preferences.
