Over a decade later, Bloodborne remains so popular it reportedly sold a quarter of a million copies this year alone
Over a decade after its 2015 release, FromSoftware’s Bloodborne continues to demonstrate enduring commercial success. According to market analyst Rhys Elliott from Alinea Analytics, the PlayStation exclusive sold more than 251,000 copies this year alone, bringing its lifetime sales to an estimated 10.4 million copies and generating approximately $317 million in revenue.
The title’s sustained popularity has been bolstered by its inclusion in PlayStation Plus, with over 500,000 players engaging with the game in October. Among these players, there is notable crossover with FromSoftware’s other successful titles: 12 percent also played Elden Ring during the month, while 6 percent played Dark Souls 3, and 5 percent played Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. These figures highlight the devoted fanbase surrounding FromSoftware’s action-RPG library and the enduring appeal of its Lovecraftian aesthetic and challenging gameplay mechanics.
