Hoyoverse’s life sim Petit Planet launches December 4

Hoyoverse has officially announced that its debut life simulation game, Petit Planet will launch globally on December 4 across iOS, Android, and PC platforms. The announcement, made on October 30 and confirmed during a pre-launch livestream on November 1, marks a significant departure from the publisher’s established portfolio of action-focused titles.

Unlike Hoyoverse’s massively successful combat-oriented games—Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero—Petit Planet offers a relaxed gameplay experience centered on creative expression and social connection. Players will construct and personalize their own miniature planets, engage in farming and fishing activities, cook meals, and explore other players’ worlds through a shared social hub called the Galactic Bazaar.

The game will support cross-platform progression between mobile and PC at launch, allowing players to seamlessly continue their experience across devices. A Nintendo Switch 2 version has been confirmed for 2027, expanding the title’s accessibility further.

This expansion into the life simulation genre reflects Hoyoverse’s strategy to diversify beyond action games while capitalizing on the demonstrated engagement and revenue potential of cosy gameplay experiences. The simultaneous global launch across multiple platforms suggests the publisher is prioritizing widespread accessibility, consistent with its successful free-to-play model.
