Remedy revenue soars by 226% following release of Control Resonant, the developer’s fastest-selling game ever

Remedy Entertainment has reported a dramatic financial turnaround following the September 24 release of Control Resonant. The developer’s Q3 2026 revenue surged by 226 percent to €39.6 million (approximately $44.3 million), compared to €12.2 million in Q3 2025. More significantly, the company swung from a €16.4 million operating loss in the prior year’s Q3 to a €0.6 million operating profit this quarter, with EBITDA reaching €6.8 million.

The commercial breakthrough is anchored by Control Resonant’s extraordinary sales velocity. Remarkably, the financial figures only capture pre-orders and the game’s first seven days of sales within the Q3 reporting period. By October 15, the game had already sold over one million copies, making it Remedy’s fastest-selling title to date.

The broader audience reach represents a strategic win for the studio: approximately 50 percent of Control Resonant’s purchases came from players new to the Control franchise, addressing a key development goal. The title has resonated particularly strongly in North America, where the US represented nearly half of its player base, followed by substantial uptake in the UK and other regions.

CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon characterized the result as “a defining milestone” for the company, coming as Remedy’s first self-published game at this scale and following a period of executive changes and prior fiscal underperformance.
