Xbox Game Pass’ Newest Addition Is a Near-Perfect Couch Co-Op Game
Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School has joined Xbox Game Pass, bringing another option to the couch co-op renaissance. Developed by Coin Crew Games as the sequel to 2022’s Escape Academy, the game features split-screen multiplayer escape rooms designed to test communication and problem-solving between players.
The game delivers a robust collection of digital escape room puzzles with an emphasis on accessibility and cooperative play, making it well-suited for couples gaming and couch co-op sessions. According to reviews, while the game’s narrative elements fall somewhat short, its core strength lies in the balance between cleverly designed puzzles and approachable difficulty that welcomes both casual and experienced puzzle-solvers.
With the popularity of multiplayer-focused games like Split Fiction and Big Walk, Escape Academy 2 arrives at a time when couples and co-op gaming continues to thrive. The game positions itself as an ideal choice for date night or other cooperative gaming sessions where communication and teamwork are essential to success.
