Don’t Make Me Pick A Favorite Dog In This Co-Op Game
“Gravhounds,” a new third-person co-op shooter from developer Octopus Panic, has launched in early access on PC and consoles, blending mechanics from established titles like Helldivers 2 and Deep Rock Galactic. The game features tower-defense and extraction elements alongside physics-based gameplay set in alien worlds.
According to GameSpot, the game’s most distinctive feature is its character selection system centered around dog companions. Rather than focusing solely on gameplay mechanics, choosing which canine character to pilot becomes an immediate and charming consideration for players entering the game.
Gravhounds combines cooperative shooter action with exploration of alien environments and physics-driven interactions designed to create chaotic, dynamic gameplay. By merging extraction shooter design with Helldivers 2-style action and Deep Rock Galactic-inspired structure, the game attempts to carve a distinctive place in the competitive co-op multiplayer space, distinguished by both its mechanical design and its memorable roster of playable dogs.
