LEGO Godzilla Announced, Releases on Black Friday
The LEGO Group has announced the official LEGO Ideas Godzilla set, a major toy release for Black Friday 2026. The set features 5,363 pieces and costs $449.99, making it the largest set ever released through the LEGO Ideas program—the community-driven platform where fans can submit designs for official LEGO production.
The set is based on Godzilla’s design from Legendary’s MonsterVerse and stands over 27.5 inches tall when posed with the creature’s signature heat ray, with dimensions of approximately 10.5 inches wide and 15.5 inches long. The build includes detailed textured scaly skin, jagged dorsal fins, and a sweeping tail that capture Godzilla’s iconic appearance. Articulated joints including adjustable shoulders, elbows, wrists, and fingers allow for multiple posing options.
Targeted at adult builders (18+ years old), the LEGO Godzilla set launches on November 27 while supplies last. LEGO is offering an incentive for early purchases: customers who buy between November 27-30 will receive a complimentary LEGO Godzilla Logo & Footprint set as a Gift With Purchase.
The release continues LEGO’s annual Black Friday tradition of launching a major set during the holiday shopping season, marking a significant milestone for the LEGO Ideas program and demonstrating continued appeal for licensed intellectual property from major entertainment franchises.
