Lords of the Fallen 2 to be Self-Published Thanks to $32 Million Loan
CI Games has secured $32 million in funding to independently publish Lords of the Fallen 2. On October 30, 2026, founder and CEO Marek Tyminski announced that the company signed a syndicated credit facility with Erste Bank Polska and Bank Ochrony Srodowiska. The funds will support the game’s completion, launch, and refinancing of existing debt.
The financial backing allows CI Games to move forward with self-publishing after ending its exclusivity agreement with Epic Games—an arrangement made in April 2026 but not publicly disclosed until May. The studio had previously delayed Lords of the Fallen 2 to refine the overall experience, with the new funding providing the resources needed to complete this work. A release date announcement is expected in December 2026.
This development represents a significant shift for the Polish publisher, enabling full creative and financial control over the sequel’s launch following the separation from Epic’s distribution backing. The secured funding demonstrates investor confidence in the project and CI Games’ independent publishing capabilities.
