AMD says it’s going to beat Intel in total revenue for the very first time by the end of 2026
AMD has posted record financial results, with quarterly revenue topping $13 billion and net income reaching $2.4 billion. The company’s CFO Jean Hu has projected that this momentum will continue into Q4 2026, forecasting approximately $17 billion in revenue.
In contrast, Intel is expected to maintain relatively flat revenue figures between $15-16 billion for the same period. If AMD’s projection materializes, it would represent a historic achievement: the first time in the company’s history that AMD generates higher quarterly revenue than Intel.
This development marks a significant shift in the competitive landscape of the semiconductor industry. AMD’s strong performance reflects years of successful product launches and market share gains, while Intel has faced ongoing challenges competing across its product portfolio.
The potential revenue milestone underscores AMD’s strengthened competitive position in a market where the company has historically trailed its larger rival. The achievement would represent a major turning point in the semiconductor sector, reflecting broader industry changes over the past several years.
