How To Safely Pack Your PS5 For A Trip To New Zealand So You Can Play GTA 6 Early
Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch at midnight local time on November 19, 2026 in New Zealand, giving players in that region an early head start compared to other time zones. GameSpot has published guidance on safely transporting a PlayStation 5 console on an international flight to reach the game earlier.
A key constraint for PS5 owners is that Sony does not allow region changes on the console, unlike Xbox Series X|S owners who can simply adjust their system settings to access releases in earlier time zones. This limitation means PlayStation players cannot modify their console settings to access the game early, effectively requiring physical travel as the only workaround for console gamers seeking to play the title at launch in regions with earlier release windows.
The article provides practical advice for safely packing and transporting a PS5 during air travel, addressing concerns about protection and security during international flights. This reflects the lengths some dedicated gamers are willing to go to experience highly anticipated releases as soon as possible.
