Kirby Air Riders’ Cancelled Halloween Event Gets A Returning Replacement
Nintendo cancelled the Halloween event for Kirby Air Riders that was originally scheduled to run from October 28 through November 4, following widespread player reports of critical technical issues. Players experienced frequent screen freezes during matches, which proved particularly problematic for the game’s fast-paced and frantic gameplay mechanics. The event had been designed to offer exclusive cosmetics, including spooky Ghost headwear for players to collect during the limited-time period. According to an update provided by Nintendo, a replacement event is now launching today to compensate for the cancellation, though the publisher did not immediately disclose specific details about what the replacement offering would entail. This incident underscores the ongoing challenges that live-service games face in maintaining stable performance and reliability, especially in competitive or action-oriented titles where technical consistency and frame stability are crucial to the overall player experience and satisfaction.
