Nintendo Releases New Pin Set Celebrating 40 Years of Zelda

Nintendo is celebrating 40 years of The Legend of Zelda franchise with a special commemorative pin set available exclusively through My Nintendo accounts. The original game debuted in February 1986 in Japan, and the milestone anniversary is being marked with various special releases and merchandise throughout 2026.

The limited-edition pin set contains two enamel pins, each featuring the 40th anniversary logo alongside imagery from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This classic N64 title is being remade exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2, launching on November 5, 2026.

The pin set was officially announced on November 4, 2026, through Nintendo’s X account (formerly Twitter) and placed on the My Nintendo Rewards page. Players with active My Nintendo accounts can claim the pins for 800 Platinum Points—the service’s virtual currency earned through account activity and Nintendo purchases. The pins cannot be obtained through traditional retail purchase and are only available while supplies last through the rewards program.

The pin release is timed with the Switch 2 launch of Ocarina of Time as part of Nintendo’s broader 40th anniversary celebration of the franchise.
