007 First Light’s ‘Starter Pack’ Is Available To Claim For Free On Xbox
IO Interactive has released a free Starter Pack for 007 First Light, enabling players on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox to experience the game’s opening mission at no cost. The Starter Pack launches on PS5 from November 10, 2026, with availability already rolling out on Xbox platforms. Players who download it gain access to “Against the Odds,” the game’s introductory level, which introduces a young James Bond decades before he earns his license to kill.
Set within Iceland’s dramatic, storm-swept environment, this opening mission showcases the gameplay style IO Interactive has designed for the Bond franchise, building on the studio’s expertise from the Hitman series. By distributing the first mission free across multiple platforms, IO Interactive aims to lower the entry barrier and expand the player base while driving engagement with the full title.
The Starter Pack’s release follows strong critical reception for the game, with reviewers praising IO Interactive’s execution of the 007 license and positioning First Light among the year’s most notable gaming releases. This promotional strategy reflects the studio’s confidence in the title’s potential reach.
