How to Defeat Elder Blighttree In Genshin Impact 7.2–Valiant Chronicles Guide
Genshin Impact version 7.2 introduces three new Local Legends as part of the Valiant Chronicles endgame content. These challenging boss encounters are located in the newly added Novokitezhgrad region and require progression through the Citadel of the Ancient Fae questline to unlock.
The Elder Blighttree stands as the strongest of the trio, presenting a significant combat challenge, though the real difficulty lies in obtaining all three achievements within a single run. The Ancient Ironquill, found in the Hallowed Plain area, is considered the easiest of the three—it can even be defeated with a single character through strategic use of the spikes it summons during combat. The Rowdy Beast Host, located in northern Downtown Novokitezhgrad near a waterfall, is the most unique encounter, requiring players to wait real-life days between attempts to unlock all of its associated achievements, making it fundamentally different from traditional boss encounters.
All three boss fights are part of the Valiant Chronicles rewards structure. Players must complete specific quests—such as “Let Not All Rivers Run Dry” and “Curious Light”—to access these encounters. The inclusion of these diverse boss types provides varying difficulty levels and engagement strategies for the Genshin Impact endgame community.
