Playtika calls off sale search as Q3 revenue holds flat at $674m

Playtika, the Israeli mobile games publisher, has concluded its strategic review and announced it will remain an independent, publicly traded company. The company initiated the review on April 6, with Morgan Stanley serving as its financial advisor, opening the possibility of a sale.

The decision comes as Playtika reports flat year-on-year revenue of $673.8 million for the third quarter ending September 30, representing a 7.8% decline from Q2. However, the company showed strong profitability, with net income rising 3% to $40.4 million.

More impressively, adjusted EBITDA reached a record $252.1 million, up 16% year-over-year, with a margin of 37.4%, suggesting healthy underlying business fundamentals despite the revenue stagnation.

CEO Robert Antokol stated that the board determined remaining independent “best positions the company to create long-term value for shareholders.” The decision reflects a measured response to the company’s mixed financial performance—while revenue has plateaued, margin expansion and EBITDA growth demonstrate operational efficiency improvements.
